TCS is an IT services, business solutions and outsourcing organization that delivers real results to global businesses, ensuring a level of certainty. It was the first Indian technology firm to set up operations in New York City in 1979. Today, TCS has 22 offices in North America and more than 14,000 consultants delivering real business results to its customers. It has four development centers and four centers of excellence operating in cities such as Redmond, Burbank, Phoenix, Cincinnati, Toronto, and Chicago, among others. TCS opened its first and largest North America Domestic Delivery Center — TCS Seven Hills Park — on March 17, 2008. Located in Milford, Ohio, the facility showcases TCS’s long term commitment to the North American market. The facility will house up to 1,000 associates, many of whom will be locally hired from the region to service its North American customers as part of its Global Network Delivery Model™. TCS has received numerous awards and significant recognition for its work including being the highest ranked Indian IT services company on the 2007 BusinessWeek InfoTech 100 annual list, the top company on the 2008 Global Services 100 Best Performing IT Services Provider list, and the first India-based company to be named among the top ten global providers of financial technology in the FinTech 100 rankings. TCS’s customers include 49 out of the top 100 Fortune 500 companies spanning across industries including banking, financial services, insurance, telecommunications and manufacturing. 52.1 percent of TCS’s global revenues come from its North America operations. Innovation is a cornerstone of TCS which established a co-innovation network to engage the entire innovation community — from customers and partners to academics and startups — bringing them together to share best practices, develop and implement innovative business solutions. In the Tata tradition of giving back to the communities in which it works, TCS has a long term commitment and relationship with the communities in which it works across North America and has supported various social causes through the years. One example was in Mississippi after Hurricane Katrina. Within days of the hurricane, TCS, working jointly with the Mississippi Department of Employment Security, designed, developed and deployed Mississippi’s self-service Disaster Unemployment Assistance System for the residents of Mississippi. This system enabled them to file for unemployment and other emergency funds in that time of crisis. TCS believes strongly in educational excellence in its communities. It works closely with a number of universities partnering across all relevant disciplines, aligning with the expertise of the university and their needs. |
