TCS recognized as a 'leader' in managed workplace services in North America by Gartner
New York | Mumbai: Tata Consultancy Services, (TCS), (BSE: 532540, NSE: TCS) a leading global IT services, consulting and business solutions organization, today announced that it has been recognized by Gartner, Inc. as a ‘leader’ in its “Magic Quadrant for Managed Workplace Services, North America” report, by Daniel Barros, Helen Huntley and Karen Hobert January 2017.
TCS believes its position as a ‘leader’ is a result of a user-centric approach to delivering workplace services that focus on improving the end user experience and increase business productivity. Managed workplace services (MWS) include traditional end user and digital workplace services that provide automated cloud based integrated support for service desk, mobile applications and desktop and laptop services. TCS’ comprehensive portfolio of MWS offerings, investments in IoT and mobility, and its cognitive automation solution, ignio™, are accelerating digital workplace transformation and enabling enterprise customers to seamlessly embrace the benefits of digital business.
Gartner evaluated 21 providers in the North American managed workplace services market, according to their execution and strategic vision for the future of MWS. Gartner analysts noted that “Leaders deliver their service solutions skillfully, have a clear vision of the direction of the service market, and are actively building and improving competencies to sustain their leadership positions. The leaders quadrant indicates the direction of the MWS market. However, most digital workplace offerings still have low adoption rates. Eight service providers have emerged as Leaders in this Magic Quadrant. Leaders demonstrate their experience in delivering managed workplace services and understanding the requirements to successfully deliver these services. They have proved their ability to execute and their completeness of vision.”
“Digital has become pervasive in every sphere of enterprise engagement, from customers to employees, and the need to re-imagine workplace services to enhance productivity and the customer experience has assumed greater significance,” said PR Krishnan, senior vice president and global head, IT Infrastructure Services, TCS. “Our Digital workplace offerings are consistent with the needs of the industry and we are delighted to be a Leader in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant assessment of workplace services providers in the North American market.”
