Tata group partners with the Global Goals campaign
The multi-dimensional partnership will extend to raising awareness through employee engagement, digital outreach and collaborations with group companies
Conceived by renowned filmmaker and founder of Comic Relief, Richard Curtis, for the United Nations, the Global Goals campaign aims to reach 7 billion people in seven days with news of the Global Goals for Sustainable Development (September 26 – October 2, 2015). This initiative is supported by a variety of existing campaigns, including Project Everyone, action/2015 and Global Citizen.
The unprecedented effort — which will both make the goals well-known and push for their full implementation — will culminate on September 25, 2015, at the UN when 193 world leaders will adopt the Global Goals, a series of 17 ambitious targets to end poverty, fight inequality and injustice, and tackle climate change.
The Tata group’s partnership is multi-dimensional and will extend to raising awareness of the new Global Goals for Sustainable Development through employee engagement, digital outreach and partnerships with group companies such as Tata Teleservices, the Taj Group of Hotels, Vistara and Titan Company to reach as many stakeholders in the world as possible.
